Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Senior Manager, Procurement — Chemical Category Leader to direct end-to-end procurement strategy for the Chemicals Category. You will lead a four-person team, partnering with Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, Legal, and Finance to shape sourcing strategies and optimize the supplier base.

Remote work may be considered case-by-case. The role requires driving cost efficiency, quality improvements, and innovative, sustainable outcomes to support J&J’s growth

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of procurement/category management experience.
• Expertise in sourcing strategy, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
• Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with digital and AI procurement tools.
• MBA preferred is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end procurement strategy for the Chemicals Category.
• Lead a team of four; drive cost efficiency, quality, innovation, and sustainability.
• Develop and execute category sourcing strategies aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, and R&D for launches and readiness.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts; manage supplier relationships.
• Identify cost reductions, quality improvements, and process efficiencies.
• Lead/coordinate large procurement projects.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
