Job summary

Arkema is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer at its Alsip, Illinois site to act as a technical resource across product quality, plant reliability, and cost management. You will lead OEE initiatives, optimize batch emulsion polymerization operations, and coordinate scale-up activities for new products with the RIT/Technology teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with experience in chemical manufacturing, Delta-V control systems, and strong HES performance focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Delta-V process control system maintenance and programming experience.
• Solid knowledge of HES performance & compliance, cost management and plant reliability.
• Experience with batch emulsion polymerization is desired.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Understand all applicable process technology and control systems.
• Collaborate with local and BU teams to optimize operations to meet goals.
• Support daily activities and production within safety and budget.
• Lead site OEE and report OEE data.
• Own plant recipe system and coordinate new product development.
• Provide in-plant technical support for scale up and troubleshooting.
• Drive MOC changes and document revisions.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Monitor production schedule for recipe compatibility and schedule impact.
• Participate in HSEQ activities and incident investigations.
