Job summary

Medix™ is seeking a Chemical Engineer to support design, development, procurement, installation, and testing of chemical and mechanical process systems in a specialized environment. You will collaborate with engineering teams, vendors, and procurement to ensure safe and reliable operation.

The role involves reviewing designs, creating specifications and test plans, supporting FAT/SAT, and validating equipment operability while managing multiple projects and evolving priorities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of engineering experience.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience contributing to design decisions while evaluating risks.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external vendors to develop and implement new systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and solve complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review design packages, specs, drawings, and test plans for chemical and mechanical systems.
• Support piping, valves, tanks, heat transfer, and containment system activities.
• Collaborate with procurement to identify and purchase equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors to finalize designs, support fabrication, and manage deliveries.
• Develop FAT and SAT test plans and evaluate results.
• Conduct field walkdowns to verify installation and operability.
• Perform vendor design reviews to ensure requirements are met.
• Manage multiple engineering activities, balancing safety, cost, and schedule.
