Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Sr. Advanced Chemical Engineer to provide technical support for CDU/VDU, Hydroprocessing & Renewable Technologies. The role focuses on transferring UOP technologies to customer units, enabling safe, profitable operations with regular external and internal collaboration.

You will report to the Sr Chemical Engineering Manager and may work from Houston, TX or Des Plaines, IL on a Hybrid schedule, engaging across departments to deliver technology solutions and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of industry experience in CDU/VDU or Hydroprocessing preferred.
• Knowledge of UOP Hydrotreating, Hydrocracking, Ecofining, or Heavy Oil tech is valued.

Responsibilities

• Participate in R&D technology improvement projects and champion changes.
• Support startup of new/revamped units from pre-commissioning through guarantee acceptance.
• Assist units loaded with UOP catalyst from loading through guarantee acceptance.
• Participate in customer meetings and engineering review sessions for new units and revamps.
• Review and analyze commercial unit operating data and related information.
• Provide office-based and on-site troubleshooting for commercial units.
• Conduct on-site audits of commercial units and prepare/update operating manuals and training materials.
• Develop MOIs for processes in area of responsibility as opportunities arise.
• Pursue Six Sigma Green Belt and apply tools to improvement projects.
• Contribute material for Technical Symposiums and Sales Meetings.
