Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Program Manager to deliver complex Wholesale Credit Modernization initiatives. You will lead cross-functional teams across business, risk, operations, technology, and third‑party partners to drive process transformation and operating model changes end-to-end.

You will establish governance, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure business readiness and adoption of future-state capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, project management or process improvement.
  • Advanced understanding of project management framework and ability to implement large scale initiatives
  • Demonstrated superior understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, needs and policies.
  • Advanced understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).
  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
  • Sound working knowledge of holistic banking/investment platforms, products, services, operations, finance and systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to influence others and facilitate difficult conversations with leadership.
  • Ability to travel as needed, occasionally overnight.

  • Develops and maintains program governance, project plans, executive reporting, risks, dependencies, and business readiness artifacts while ensuring traceability and accountability for delivery.
  • Identifies opportunities to simplify, standardize, and enhance wholesale credit processes through automation, improved controls, and operating model optimization while supporting regulatory and risk management objectives.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders, business owners, sponsors, and leadership to drive alignment, resolve issues, and secure support for modernization priorities.
  • Serves as an individual contributor with ownership of multiple complex initiatives and may provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and oversight of internal resources, contractors, and third-party partners supporting the program.

Responsible for delivering multiple complex programs that support the overall strategic objectives of the business unit. Provides oversight and leadership to cross-functional teams to execute on concurrent projects of large size and ensures standard project protocols are met. This teammate possesses expert knowledge of the processes in the assigned portfolio and is a key contributor to line of business’ success.

Job Profile Summary

Responsible for delivering complex initiatives that support the Wholesale Credit Modernization Program and its strategic objectives. Provides leadership across cross-functional teams to execute process transformation, technology enablement, workforce transition, automation, operating model redesign, and change management initiatives spanning the end-to-end wholesale credit lifecycle. Serves as a key contributor to modernization efforts by driving execution, stakeholder alignment, business readiness, governance, and adoption of future-state processes and capabilities

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
  • Sound working knowledge of holistic banking/investment platforms, products, services, operations, finance and systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to influence others and facilitate difficult conversations with leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems, devise solutions and make decisions under pressure.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and adapt as the needs of the job change
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products
  • Ability to travel as needed, occasionally overnight
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives involving process redesign, technology implementation, organizational change, and complex stakeholder management.
  • Experience working within Wholesale/Commercial Credit or Credit Process.
  • Operations, banking or process management experience also preferred
  • Strong understanding of governance, risk management, business readiness, and enterprise delivery frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and influencing skills with the ability to drive results across matrixed organizations.
  • Experience working with third parties collaboratively within a project or program
