*Position for Senior Certified Nursing Assistant (SCNA) includes a sign-on bonus of $1,000.00, paid over one year at 6-month intervals. Leaving employment or moving to OPS before then forfeits the bonus. Returning employees must have left for at least 12 months.

**OPS SCNA Weekend Warrior program available at $19.06/hour. Shifts are weekdays 3PM-11PM or 11PM-7AM, and all shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Must work at least one shift per pay period. No benefits included.

Additional benefits include a comprehensive retirement package, health, vision, dental, disability insurance, paid leave, holidays, and tuition waivers for State Universities and Community Colleges (up to 6 credits/semester).

This is a continuous advertisement for multiple positions, with varied shifts and OPS candidates being selected within six months of the closing date.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Effective communication in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Valid Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license.
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug test.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in a 120-bed long-term care facility.
  • CPR/BLS certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living: hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, hair and nail care, shaving, toileting, feeding, mobility.
  • Observe and report resident concerns.
  • Escort residents to appointments.
  • Perform restorative and simple nursing measures.
  • Measure vital signs and record intake/output.
  • Use proper techniques for lifts, transfers, and positioning.
  • Provide end-of-life care and support.
  • Ensure safety devices are used.
  • Document care and maintain confidentiality.
  • Respond promptly to resident requests.
  • Attend training and perform other related duties.
