Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and preparation of surgical instruments, medical equipment, and supplies used in patient care.
• Operate and maintain sterilization equipment according to established procedures and standards.
• Examine medical equipment for defects and report faulty equipment to appropriate personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all established local and federal health and safety regulations.
• Serve as preceptor and educator for new team members; provide hands-on training and orientation.
