Job summary

Catholic Housing and Community Services is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Norris Square Senior Center in Philadelphia. You will plan and implement educational, social, recreational, and health-promoting programs for senior center members, both in person and online.

You will facilitate advisory and townhall meetings, oversee the meal program, supervise staff and volunteers, and prepare calendars, newsletters, and outreach materials. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree, or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data entry, and social media use.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement and evaluate activities for senior center consumers and virtual participants.
• Facilitate advisory council and townhall meetings; solicit feedback.
• Manage programming budgets and spending plans to meet objectives.
• Coordinate congregate meals and other food services.
• Orient, train, and supervise aides, students, and volunteers.
• Prepare monthly program calendar, newsletters, and outreach materials.
• Participate in marketing and outreach to grow participant base.
• Coordinate with Social Service Coordinator to meet participant needs.
• Prepare internal reports and documentation per CHCS and PCA standards.
