People Helping People has been the foundation of Senior Friendship Centers for over 50 years, and we are looking for a dynamic Senior Center Manager! The Senior Center Manager will be responsible for managing Sarasota’s Senior Center activities including the initiation, coordination, and implementation of programs for members and visitors to have access to social, recreational, health, and educational programs. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being the welcoming face of the center staying at the heart of the action while also thriving behind the scenes by coordinating the logistics that keep daily operations running smoothly. The Senior Center Manager will also participate in outreach activities by informing the public of Senior Friendship Centers’ services.
The Activity Centers at Senior Friendship Centers create community in every sense of the word. They offer seniors a space to take classes, exercise, play cards, socialize, create art, listen to live music, learn a new language, learn about healthy aging, or sit down with friends over coffee. Senior Friendship Centers is the safety net for seniors in four counties along Southwest Florida, providing a wide variety of programs.

Someone who has excellent organizational skills, flexible with daily tasks, customer service experience, and also possesses excellent communication skills. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
Must be able to independently access various departments of a given location.
Must be able to assist potentially frail seniors in wheelchairs or using assistive devices as they move through program areas.
Travel may be required to complete administrative tasks or to other program sites to assist.
Must have reliable transportation.
A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are required for all work-related travel.
