Job summary

Mackin Talent seeks an experienced Senior Cellular Connectivity Test Engineer to lead bring-up, validation, and debugging across new hardware and software platforms. You will work hands-on with Qualcomm chipsets, cellular call boxes, and emulators to reproduce real-world network conditions.

You will configure modem settings, analyze logs, and collaborate with chipset vendors and cross-disciplinary teams to drive robust LTE/5G performance and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience with 2–5 years in direct cellular work.
• Hands-on experience with Qualcomm chipsets and device-level modem configuration.
• Experience operating cellular test boxes or base station emulators (Keysight UXM, Anritsu MT8000, or R&S CMX/CMW).
• Strong knowledge of LTE/5G protocol stacks and RF metrics (RSRP/RSRQ/SINR/CQI).
• Proficient in modem logging/analysis tools (QXDM, QCAT, PCAT) and scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead cellular lab bring-up from attach to production-ready performance.
• Test throughput, latency, power, mobility, and RF metrics across LTE/5G.
• Configure modem settings and networks, including CA, EN-DC, VoLTE/VoNR, and PSM/eDRX.
• Operate base station emulators and test networks to reproduce real-world conditions.
• Analyze logs to troubleshoot registration, connectivity, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with chipset vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Develop test plans, acceptance criteria, and regression automation.
• Document baselines, findings, and recommendations for engineering teams.
