Job summary

CDM Smith's CEI team is seeking a qualified Inspector to inspect and monitor construction activities at project sites. The role involves evaluating material use, conformance to plans, and communicating results to supervision.

You will perform complex inspections across roadway, bridges, drainage, erosion & control, and maintenance & traffic, sometimes with limited supervision. A high school diploma and 12 years of related experience are required, plus a valid driver's license and travel

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel 20–40%.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections of construction to ensure materials and processes meet plans and specs.
• Use advanced equipment and calculations for inspection tasks.
• Work under limited or direct supervision per assignment.
• Review drawings and prepare for inspection.
• Document and communicate inspection results to supervisor.
