Job summary

Chenega Security seeks a CBRN Systems Engineer to provide technical expertise and operational support for CBRN and C-UAS sensor technologies. The role focuses on sustaining, analyzing, and optimizing sensor performance to ensure mission readiness and evolving requirements.

This nine-month, full-time assignment requires a Bachelor's in engineering and extensive experience with sensor systems, plus the ability to collaborate across government and industry teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• Minimum 15 years of experience evaluating sensor technologies.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with CBRN or C-UAS detection systems.
• Proven ability to analyze complex data and make actionable recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting to diverse audiences.
• Background screening and drug testing required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate performance of CBRN and/or C-UAS sensor systems for effectiveness and QA compliance.
• Analyze system data and metrics to identify trends and improve detection capabilities and readiness.
• Assess sensor performance and develop recommendations to reduce false alarms and improve reliability.
• Maintain, update, and manage system performance databases and analytic records.
• Prepare and present technical reports to government stakeholders and program leadership.
• Support technology assessments of current and emerging sensor capabilities for future requirements.
• Coordinate with government, engineering, and operations teams to address issues and implement improvements.
• Other duties as assigned
