Tucson Medical Center in Tucson, AZ, is seeking an RN Clinical Nurse Lead Special Procedures Cath Lab to supervise nursing personnel in this critical cardiac care unit. This full-time day-shift role requires strong leadership and clinical judgment.

You will verify patient needs, assign duties, oversee records, maintain inventory, and collaborate with physicians to ensure quality care. The successful candidate will provide guidance during crises and contribute to staff education.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a qualified, nationally-accredited nursing program.
• Two (2) years of related experience, or five (5) years of current critical care or perioperative specialty in an acute care setting.
• Current RN licensure permitting work in the state of Arizona, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership during schedule conflicts, unplanned changes in activity, last-minute deadlines and crisis situations.
• Plans, directs, and implements care to patients in accordance with physicians’ orders; serves as monitor and scrubs for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Identifies patients at high risk requiring advanced nursing judgment and determines appropriate actions to move patient/family/staff towards outcomes.
• Manages and coordinates care; applies clinical judgment and evidence-based information; acts as a clinical resource to staff.
• Maintains inventory levels for medicines, supplies and equipment; collaborates with departments to ensure adequate resources.
• Consults with physicians to ensure proper care and follow-up; assists with equipment and technology assessment for capital budgeting.
