The iconic Old Post Office has been transformed into Waldorf Astoria Washington DC – a premier address in Washington, D.C., featuring 263 rooms, 38,000 sq ft of event space, 2 restaurants, and 3 bars. This venue hosts Washington, D.C.'s most significant events, innovative meetings, and memorable experiences.

In this role, you will develop market segments and attract new clients to purchase food and beverage services and utilize event facilities, aiming to deliver exceptional guest service and achieve financial success.

The ideal candidate will be a strong leader capable of driving business growth through innovation and superior service.

Classification: Full-Time

Shift: Various – must be available on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Range: $75,000-$85,000 annually, based on experience and location.

What will I be doing?

As a Senior Catering Manager, your responsibilities include developing market segments, acquiring new clients, and maintaining existing relationships to promote food and beverage sales and event space utilization. Your tasks will include:

  • Developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Conducting sales presentations and negotiations to secure catering business.
  • Hosting and entertaining clients, managing client accounts.
  • Promoting facilities through property tours, trade shows, and community events.
  • Negotiating services and pricing to maximize revenue.
  • Supporting departmental management alongside the Director.
