Job summary

Jump Start Stores Inc. is seeking a Senior Category Manager to drive category profitability and shape the loyalty program.

You will oversee the full lifecycle from procurement to pricing, promotions, and inventory, using market data to maximize sales and optimize the assortment within Wichita-area stores. Responsibilities include developing strategies, managing vendors, lifecycle management, pricing and promotions, and cross-functional collaboration to meet business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency in Tableau or Power BI for reporting and insights.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management abilities.
• Ability to collaborate across marketing, operations, and finance.

Responsibilities

• Develop category strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends.
• Plan and curate assortment to meet customer needs and profitability.
• Source and negotiate with vendors for favorable terms and promotions.
• Manage product lifecycle, inventory, and timely clearances.
