Job summary

JLB is seeking a Sr. Category Manager to independently manage assigned categories for Target, delivering data-driven insights, planogram optimization, and strategic recommendations.

You will lead reporting, seasonal reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with Target teams to drive growth and merchandising opportunities. The role emphasizes planogram accuracy, analytical storytelling, and mentorship of junior staff, with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 8+ years in retail or brand background.
• 5+ years in Category Advisor or Captainship preferred.
• Planogram building (JDA/Blue Yonder) a must.
• Target category management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day relationships with Target and cross-functional teams.
• Own end-to-end reporting with multiple data sources.
• Lead competitive marketplace and SKU analyses for insights.
• Execute category and seasonal reviews with actionable recommendations.
• Own planogram transitions and write up to 2,000 planograms.
• Develop digital performance reports and seasonal analyses.
• Share trends and insights across categories.
