Job summary

JLB, an award-winning retail consulting firm, seeks a Category Manager dedicated to Target. You will lead complex category work, synthesize data from multiple sources, and present actionable insights to the Target buying team.

Strong analytics, storytelling, and project management are essential to guide short and long-term initiatives. You will own end-to-end reporting, analyze sales and promotions, develop strategic planograms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive category

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
6+ years of experience in retail or brand background.
3+ years of relatable Category Advisor or Captainship is preferred.
Target specific Category Management experience is a plus.
Proficient in reporting & analytics, planograms, and presentations.

Responsibilities

Independently manages day-to-day relationships with Target and cross-functional teams.
Owns end-to-end reporting, combining analytics with business drivers.
Manages in-depth analyses of marketplace trends and competitive data.
Executes category and seasonal reviews with actionable insights.
Owns planogram transition and optimization from start to finish.
Develops digital performance reports and supports data-driven decisions.
