Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Category Management Specialist in Marlborough, MA to support Global Category Managers in regional and global sourcing events. You will lead project execution, use defined methodologies, and build trust with business partners to deliver value.

You’ll contribute to category strategy development, ensure compliant Source-to-Pay processes, and apply negotiation principles to optimize supplier relations and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management or Business.
• Minimum 2 years strategic sourcing, procurement, or related experience.
• Able to independently lead sourcing initiatives with Business Partners.
• Knowledge of RFx requirements including sourcing event structure, supplier selection, RFx criteria, timing, length, type, and complexity of RFI, RFP, and/or e-Auction events.
• Understanding of basic negotiation principles in support of value delivery.
• Able to recommend supplier selections to Business Partners.
• Strong relationship development skills and competency.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong command of procurement/ sourcing systems and Microsoft Suite of products.
• Ability to analyze data related to spend, supplier performance, and market trends.
• Strong project management and organization skills.
• Self-motivator with ability to prioritize projects.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

The TJX Global Sourcing and Procurement (GS&P) organization is a trusted partner to our myriad business functions. As a Senior Category Management Specialist, you will support Global Category Managers in the execution of regional and global sourcing events. You will lead event project execution for events of varying complexity using defined strategic sourcing methodologies, tools, and templates to ensure a fair, open, and competitive sourcing process.

You are a trusted partner who provides value to your Business Partners through your sourcing expertise and industry knowledge. Through your work with other groups, you’ll be recognized as someone who drives strategy, cost improvement, and develops strong relationships across TJX.

Responsibilities:

• Supports Global Category Managers in the execution of regional and global sourcing events across all assigned categories, including sourcing administration and event support.
• Leads strategy development and project execution for assigned sourcing events. Uses defined strategic sourcing methodologies, tools, and templates to ensure a fair, open, and competitive sourcing process.
• Supports Global Category Managers in the development of regional and global sourcing strategies.
• Develops effective and trusting relationships with Business Partners to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participates in the development, review, and execution of contracts and ensures compliance with the TJX Approval Authority Schedule and Audit requirements.
• Performs and delivers sourcing analysis for strategic sourcing events.
• Manages research and analysis to keep abreast of innovations, new products, new sources, price trends, market conditions, etc.
• Participates in Global Category Management planning for assigned categories and contributes to category strategy development activities.
• Develops recommendations for supplier selection to Business Partners in partnership with management.
• Ensures a compliant 'Source-to-Pay' process is in place for all eligible category spend.
• Applies basic negotiation principles and executes negotiations in support of value delivery for assigned categories and projects.

This position has a starting salary range of $85,600.00 to $109,200.00 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual incentive.
