Job summary

Northgate Gonzalez Market in Anaheim seeks a Category Manager to lead merchandising, pricing, assortment and promotions for Center Store categories, partnering with leadership, field teams, procurement and operations.

The role requires strong category management, retail analytics, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. A college degree is preferred, with 5–10 years in retail and RMCP experience highly regarded. This on-site, full-time position supports our Southern California stores.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred or minimum of 5 years equivalent experience in relevant field of work.
• 5-10 years of retail experience preferred.
• 2-5 years’ experience with category management practices
• Strong preference for RMCP completion
• Experience managing Center Store Categories
• Grocery, Beverage, Beer/Wine, Liquor

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow our image as the premier Hispanic provider of authentic goods.
• Deliver a portfolio of products aligned to differentiation and customer relevance.
• Analyze category performance and develop annual category plans.
• Develops and executes strategic plans to support category sales and margin goals.
• Monitors supplier performance and drives cost efficiencies.
• Directs replenishment to ensure product availability and supply continuity.
