Responsibilities
  • Serve as the owning adjuster for injury exposures exceeding $25,000, including both represented and unrepresented cases
  • Handle a variety of claims, including complex first and third-party auto, homeowners, and watercraft cases involving injury
  • Conduct investigative work, including interviewing witnesses and analyzing evidence
  • Make coverage and liability determinations, informing customers of their options
  • Evaluate potential for subrogation and initiate requests as needed
Qualifications
  • BA/BS in business, insurance, risk management, or a related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience; high school diploma or GED is required
  • Minimum of six years of claims experience and three years of casualty experience
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Outstanding decision-making ability and customer service orientation
  • Detailed understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements and claims policies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Developing knowledge of litigation file handling for minor, moderate, and complex litigated claims
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Active participation in employee resource groups or community service
  • Willingness to engage in team-building activities and help onboard new members
