Job summary

TravelCenters of America is hiring a Cashier III to join our store team. You will process transactions at the POS, keep the sales area clean and well-stocked, and assist with ordering, receiving, and merchandising. The role includes training junior cashiers, cycle counts, and end-of-day reporting.

Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is required. We value teamwork, strong communication, and a positive attitude as you help travelers and motorists get back on the road efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of cashier experience preferred.
• Computer/POS knowledge required.
• Cash handling skills required.
• Merchandising/stocking experience required.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions on a POS register and maintain a clean, well-stocked area.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and unloading product; stock and rotate merchandise on planograms.
• Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Assist with training lower-level cashiers on job duties.
• Assist with end-of-day reporting and register audits.
• Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe situations.
• Establish strong communication with leaders and coworkers and perform other duties.
