Job summary

TravelCenters of America is hiring a Cashier Lead to deliver excellent guest service at our travel centers. You will manage POS transactions, maintain a clean and stocked area, and support merchandising efforts to ensure a great guest experience.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of cashier experience, strong cash handling skills, and the ability to train others. Flexible hours including nights and weekends are required, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of cashier experience preferred.
• Computer/POS knowledge required.
• Cash handling skills required.
• Merchandising/stocking experience required.
• Good verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on great customer service.
• Serve each customer courteously and efficiently with a positive attitude.
• Process POS transactions and maintain clean food/beverage area.
• Order, receive, and stock products; manage merchandise on planograms.
• Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Assist with creating and managing the team’s schedule.
• Trains lower-level cashiers on duties and responsibilities.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe situations.
• Communicate effectively with leaders and co-workers.
