Job summary

MetLife's Global Customer Service and Operations (GCSO) team seeks a Senior Accounting Assistant to perform daily accounting functions, including reconciliations, wires, misdirected money, and cash activity to support accurate financial operations. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong collaboration and customer-focused mindset when partnering across teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, handle complexity, and meet deadlines.
• 1–3 years Annuity, Life, or IDI Operations experience.
• 1+ years of Accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and reconcile financial transactions, cash activity, and suspense accounts to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
• Process incoming and outgoing money transactions, including wires, disbursements, and misdirected funds, in accordance with established procedures.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, outstanding items, and reconciliation exceptions to maintain accurate financial records.
• Maintain general ledger accounts.
• Develop and enhance accounting processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency, controls, and compliance.
