Job summary
Ford Motor Company is hiring Carpenters at the Dearborn facility. The role commands a top hourly base rate of $44.635, with starting pay $44.435 and overtime and shift premiums as applicable.
Apprenticeship or eight years of related experience is required, with pay progressions after three months. Company benefits include premium health coverage, life and AD&D insurance, disability benefits, and a strong 401(k) plan with company matches.
Qualifications
- Completion of a bona fide apprenticeship, or 8 years of previous experience, or a combination of work experience and training equivalent to an apprenticeship.
- Proficiency in installing and repairing furniture, stairs, scaffolding and wood platforms, weather stripping and caulking, wood fencing, floor coverings, signs, and related hardware.
- Ability to perform cement and masonry repairs, tile work, doors, windows and related carpentry tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation and replacement of windows, flooring, wall and ceiling tile.
- Hang doors and install door hardware and jams.
- Fabricate and install shelving, cabinets, and wooden fixtures.
- Operate power tools and work at heights and on ladders as required.
