Job summary

CU Denver is seeking an Academic Services Principal Professional (Principal Career Consultant) in a full-time, hybrid role. You will advise undergraduate and graduate Business School students and alumni on resumes, networking, and job-search strategies, while coordinating with CU Denver Career Center and related services.

The role emphasizes collaboration with faculty, employer partners, and student clubs to create career opportunities, deliver workshops, and support professional development

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a directly related field from an accredited institution.
• Five (5) years of experience in education, career advising, recruiting, human resources, student support, professional development, or related field.
• Substitution: a combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
• Preferred qualifications include career coaching/advising experience and knowledge of industry trends.

Responsibilities

• Meet with undergraduate and graduate Business School students and alumni to advise on resumes, LinkedIn, job targeting, networking and interviewing.
• Ensure students are aware of career opportunities and employers receive quality candidates.
• Serve as liaison between students, the university, and business school departments and services.
• Interact with faculty, clubs and employer partners to promote connections and opportunities.
• Plan and lead student and alumni outreach events, workshops, career fairs, information sessions, and related activities.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, mentor others on the career team, and help drive team momentum.
