Job summary

Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, is seeking a Sr Career Advisor in the School of Education and Social Policy to design and implement an integrated career-services program for master's and professional program students and alumni.

The role partners with the Director of Student Services and Advising and Associate Director for Career Services to drive a data-informed strategy, provide counseling, and support career development from planning to negotiations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher required, or relevant combination with 3 years of career counseling/advising in higher education
Master's degree or JD with 2 years relevant experience preferred
Strong knowledge of career development concepts, assessment, and advising practices

Responsibilities

Contribute to and implement division and master's program career-services plans.
Oversee data collection, reporting, and Salesforce updates.
Provide individualized career advising to students and alumni.
Engage with employers and alumni to build partnerships and opportunities.
Plan and deliver career services events, lectures, and networking opportunities.
Monitor program metrics and ensure compliance with NU policies and procedures.
Supervise graduate assistants and related projects.
