Job summary

Encore Village at Schaumburg is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech-language services in SNF and OP settings. The ideal candidate holds an accredited SLP degree, IL licensure, CPR certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) program.
• Current IL state licensure.
• CPR Certified.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with therapy documentation (NetHealth).
• Must pass a medical and physical examination based on job qualifications, requirements, and duties/responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CFYs, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel per licensure rules.
• Deliver rehab services effectively per plan of care and patient schedule with timely documentation.
• Attend patient care conferences and related meetings.
• Make referrals to other disciplines and agencies to address patient needs.
• Consult with rehab team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens.
• Adapt plan of care according to individual patient needs.
• Maintain a safe environment and enforce safety standards.
• Order supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Clean, maintain, and report repair needs of equipment.
