Job summary

Aspire Senior Living Roaring River is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our therapy team. The SLP will assess and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders, aiming to improve communication and safety during meals.

You will work with Nursing, Therapy, Dietetics, and families to set meaningful goals, implement evidence-based interventions, document progress, and educate care teams about dysphagia management and

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
• Current Missouri state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist required.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred, as applicable.
• 1–3 years of clinical experience preferred in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, senior living, or geriatrics.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' speech, language, cognition, communication, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to maximize resident function and independence.
• Provide evidence-based interventions for speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication disorders.
• Collaborate closely with Nursing, Dietary, physicians, residents, and families to achieve resident goals.
