Job summary

The Blair Memory Care Center of Cary is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities and to help create a safe, respectful environment.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, hydration, and mobility; monitor health changes and report them to the nursing team; and provide companionship to promote engagement and a sense of dignity for each resident.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of personal care or healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration.
• Observe and report changes in health or behavior to nursing staff.
• Foster companionship and encourage participation in activities.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures; respond to emergencies promptly.
