Job summary

Hope Springs is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team and ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of our facility for residents, creating a clean, comfortable, and welcoming living environment for seniors and visitors alike.

Responsibilities include general cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, laundry, waste management, inventory management, and following safety protocols, with an emphasis on resident comfort and dignity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience (preferred)
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping common areas, resident rooms, and restrooms to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Laundry Services: Assist with washing, folding, and distributing laundry for residents and staff as needed.
• Waste Management: Dispose of trash and recycling materials properly, ensuring that waste areas are clean and organized.
• Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Notify management of any supply shortages or equipment issues.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a clean, hygienic, and safe environment for residents and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure that the facility is well-maintained and residents are comfortable.
• Resident Engagement: Engage with residents in a friendly and respectful manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
