The Dietician at Longterm healthcare Facility assesses residents' nutritional needs, develops individualized meal plans, and ensures compliance with regulations, working with nursing, food service staff, and physicians. • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field required.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required.
• Minimum of 1–2 years experience in a long-term care or clinical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of MDS 3.0, care planning, and CMS regulations for nursing homes.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsabilidades

• Assess the nutritional status of residents, including those with special dietary needs.
• Develop and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and food service staff to coordinate resident care.
• Conduct regular nutritional assessments and update care plans as needed.
• Monitor food service operations to ensure adherence to dietary guidelines, portion sizes, sanitation standards, and resident satisfaction.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on nutrition-related topics.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.
• Review and approve menus to ensure they meet the nutritional needs of the residents.
• Stay current on best practices, clinical guidelines, and regulatory updates related to geriatric nutrition.
