Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in food service is preferred but not required.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Compassion and desire to work with the elderly.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and preferences.
• Sanitation & cleanliness: Maintain kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed.
• Resident support: Assist residents during meals; help with setup and service; ensure a positive dining experience.
• Food safety: Follow all food safety protocols, proper storage, handling, and sanitation.
• Inventory support: Help receive and store food and supplies; check inventory; notify manager of shortages.
• Team collaboration: Work with the dietary team to ensure smooth kitchen and dining operations.
• Resident engagement: Fulfill special dietary requests and respect residents' preferences.
