Right at Home in Winston-Salem is seeking a compassionate Homemaker/Companion to support seniors and adults with disabilities in their homes. You will perform light homemaking, provide companionship, and help with daily activities while building meaningful relationships in a positive team environment.

The role emphasizes integrity, reliability, and a client-centered approach, with training provided and PPE supplied.

Qualifications

• High school degree and/or a G.E.D. certificate.
• Must have successfully completed a written Competency Evaluation.
• Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must have a current and valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a vehicle in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsabilités

• Assist clients with homemaking activities such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms (less than 20% of shift).
• Provide companionship during walks and participation in social/recreational activities.
• Prepare simple meals and assist with grocery errands as needed.
• Establish partner relationships with clients and support their daily living activities.
