Job summary

Crowne Health Care in Alabama is seeking a Beautician for a part-time, contract position at our long-term care facility. You will provide salon services for residents and help them look and feel their best.

The ideal candidate holds a current Beautician/Cosmetology license, is at least 18, and can read and follow instructions in English. Experience with elderly residents is preferred and strong customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Beautician/Cosmetology license in good standing.
• Must meet all applicable state licensing and certification requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience or completion of an approved cosmetology training program preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
• Positive attitude and compassionate approach toward the elderly population.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide salon services for residents, including shampooing, set and roll, blow drying and styling.
• Haircuts, coloring, perms, pressing and curling.
• Shaving and grooming, manicures and pedicures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized salon environment.
• Schedule appointments and maintain service logs and records as needed.
• Foster a positive physical, social, and emotional environment for residents.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and contribute to their overall well-being and quality of life.
