Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Acacia Mews Care Home in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

You will join a close-knit team dedicated to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and laundry services for residents in a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety principles including Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public or care setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Ability to be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties according to worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and use appropriate cleaning materials.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are respected.

About the Role

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained. Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
