Job summary

Heath House is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to provide direct care and support to residents in a safe, nurturing environment. The role emphasizes empathy, attention to detail, and promoting residents' dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring health, engaging residents in activities, and upholding safety and infection control standards. A HS diploma or GED and 1 year of care experience are preferred; CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of a state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Support: Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents' health or behavior; assist with medication reminders.
• Resident Engagement: Foster relationships and encourage participation in activities and events.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain clean, safe living areas and follow infection control protocols.
