Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Wausau, WI is seeking a Personal Care Aide to support seniors at home. You will provide personal care, daily living assistance, and companionship, aiming to enhance safety and quality of life. The position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for online training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Valid WI driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition for supervisor.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy ( puzzles, games, reading, hobbies ).
