Laurel Brook Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to join our team. This full-time role supports residents through engaging, meaningful activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well‑being.

You will document participation, help plan programs, and collaborate with the care team to ensure resident-centered experiences. A high school diploma is required, with healthcare exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in an Activities Department or healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with seniors is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging environment that enhances residents' daily experiences.
• Document resident participation and engagement in activities and programs.
• Promote residents' social, physical, emotional, and intellectual well‑being through meaningful activities.
• Assist in planning and implementing recreational, social, educational, and community programs.
• Build relationships with residents and encourage participation based on individual interests and abilities.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care goals.
• Observe and communicate changes in mood or participation to team members.
• Assist with community outreach and marketing events showcasing resident-centered care.
• Complete necessary administrative tasks and activity documentation.
