Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Downers Grove, IL is seeking an experienced cardiovascular cath lab nurse to provide professional, high-precision nursing care during procedures and to assist physicians with all cardiovascular interventions.

Must hold an IL license as RTR/RTN/RCVT or Paramedic (EMT-P), with AAS in RTR/RTN or equivalent, at least 2 years cath lab experience, ACLS/IABP preferred, and be available for on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Typically requires 2 years cardiac cath lab experience.
• Proficiency in PTCA; EPS preferred.
• AAS in RTR or RTN license, or equivalent.
• RCIS within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, highly technical nursing care to cardiovascular patients.
• Assist physicians during all cardiovascular procedures.
• Maintain complete documentation of cardiovascular procedures.
• Participate in continuing education to stay abreast of new procedures and technologies.
• Respond to off-hour call-ins within thirty minutes.
