Qualifications

• Active MD RN license or eligibility per MD Board rules.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Maintain 10 contact hours of education every 2 years.
• Member of a professional organization.
• Recent clinical experience in a comparable setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent care to unit-specific patient population; serves as clinical resource for others.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate care.
• Support charge nurse decisions and coordinate unit operations.
• Participate in Quality Improvement, NSQI, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Orient and mentor new nurses and students to the unit governance and practice.
