Senior Cardiac Sonographer PART-TIME Outpatient Pediatrics

Join our team as a Senior Cardiac Sonographer PART-TIME Outpatient Pediatrics at NYU Langone Health.

Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified individual responsible for performing comprehensive cardiac ultrasound testing, including M-mode, two-dimensional, Doppler, TEE, stress echocardiograms, 3D reconstruction, and vascular studies. The role involves supervising and training students, fellows, and residents.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform and analyze cardiac ultrasound procedures.
• Ensure patient comfort, prepare equipment, and explain procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and record keeping.
• Monitor and assess patient condition and alert medical staff of abnormalities.
• Assist in emergency situations and ensure equipment safety and maintenance.
• Train and supervise junior staff and students.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and completion of an accredited Ultrasound program or equivalent experience.
• Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or CCI.
• Minimum three years of echocardiography experience.
• CPR certification and active registry status.

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers with over three years of experience.
