Job summary

Advocate Health, including St. Luke's Medical Center, seeks an experienced echocardiography technologist to perform advanced cardiac ultrasound studies. You will work a 40-hour day shift, participate in rotating weekends and holidays, and help ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging.

Required are RDCS-AE or RCS credentials and BLS, with typically 2 years in cardiovascular sonography. The hospital offers comprehensive benefits and a $6,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Advanced training in an accredited sonography program.
• Typically requires 2 years of cardiovascular sonography experience.
• RDCS-AE or RCS with BLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced echocardiography including 2-D, M-mode and Doppler.
• Assist physicians in cath/EP labs with echocardiography support.
• Identify abnormalities and correlate tests with cardiac anatomy and function.
• Prepare patients, obtain medical history and adapt imaging techniques.
• Maintain lab equipment and document statistics; ensure QC.
