Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Senior Cardiac Device Technician to support a busy outpatient device clinic in Seattle, performing pacemaker/defibrillator and loop recorder interrogations and managing remote transmissions. You will work closely with clinic RNs under the supervision of implanting physicians.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in health or science, BLS certification, and 3 years of Cardiovascular Technologist experience; Providence offers strong benefits and professional growth

Qualifications

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 3 years of previous experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist.

Responsibilities

  • Interrogation and assessment of implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders).
  • Management of remote transmissions and device clinic workflow.
  • Collaborate with device clinic RN's under clinical supervision of implanting physicians.

Job description:

The Senior Device Tech works with physicians, mid-levels, clinical staff and office staff to effectively, efficiently and accurately fulfill the duties and responsibilities of a busy outpatient device clinic. All procedures and treatments performed must be ordered by the physician, and/or mid-level providers. Duties and responsibilities will include interrogation and assessment of implantable cardiac devices which include pacemakers, defibrillators and implantable loop recorders, as well as management of remote transmissions. The senior device technician will work closely with device clinic RN's and will be under the clinical supervision of the implanting physicians.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health or science related field or equivalent educ/experience.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 3 years of previous experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cardiovascular Technician certification (CVT) or Certified Cardiac Device Specialist certification (CCDS).
  • Completion of ATI training.
