PEMEX Deer Park is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer to lead a portfolio of capital projects at the Deer Park Refinery. You will guide front-end through detailed design and construction, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and cost control across multiple processes.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in refinery or petrochemical projects, strong leadership, and expertise in coordinating with operations, process engineering, and external contractors to deliver reliable, operating facilities.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in Engineering and 10+ years in refinery or petrochemical projects.
• Experience from front end development through detailed design to execution.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with operations, process engineering and disciplines.
• TWIC credential required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead Capital and Expense projects from front end through construct and commissioning.
• Coordinate procurement, cost control, and schedule management for multiple projects.
• Develop project scopes with operations and engineering disciplines.
• Ensure proper technical authority approves designs, equipment specs, and drawings.
• Oversee on-site engineering disciplines and contractor execution.
• Collaborate with Project Controls for cost estimates and funding timelines.
• Work with procurement on procurement strategies and with environmental on permitting.
• Support start-up plans, training, and knowledge transfer; close project documentation.
