Job summary

Cargill is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead and support capital projects at one of our corn milling sites in Cedar Rapids. You will plan, design, estimate time and cost, and oversee construction, commissioning, and start-up activities for structures, facilities, systems, and components.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least four years of experience, with preferred background in project management, commissioning, and SAP integration across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of four years of related work experience.
• Construction management, commissioning and start-up experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design and manage capital projects for site facilities and systems.
• Analyze and resolve engineering issues related to manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Lead commissioning, start-up, and handover activities with minimal supervision.
• Provide guidance on engineering standards and procedures across projects.
• Escalate only the most complex issues to senior staff.
