Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an engineer to assist and implement capital projects and large-scale expenses at the US site. The role involves facility construction/renovation, equipment installation, and new processes, working under the Sr. Associate Director and Site Services Organization.

You will coordinate with project teams, manage project finances, and ensure alignment with production schedules, safety, and regulatory expectations across multiple Boehringer Ingelheim functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
• Leadership skills or extracurricular activities completed while earning degree are preferred.
• Ability to learn effective project management skills through training, mentoring, and work experience.
• Project management skills include communicating verbally and in writing, planning, scheduling, organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating project activities.
• Understanding of basic financial and accounting methods and procedures.
• Willingness to engage with a diverse population including vendors and various Boehringer Ingelheim functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage small capital and expense projects with support from a Project Manager.
• Identify, define, evaluate, and select project team members to ensure success.
• Coordinate project activities to minimize impact on production and safety.
• Prepare purchase and appropriation requests and assist with contract documents.
