Capital One’s Capital Markets Legal Team is seeking an experienced attorney to support its capital markets funding activities, including securitizations. You will work closely with the Corporate Treasury team while managing legal risk and navigating complex securities and financial regulations.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
• At least 3 years of experience as an attorney with a focus on capital markets.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of capital markets transactions, including securitizations, for Capital One as issuer.
• Counsel Corporate Treasury on the impact of changes in securities laws and regulations.
• Interpret and provide guidance on existing agreements and obligations.
• Provide strategic legal advice on complex and novel issues.
• Collaborate with business partners to maintain securitization funding platforms and ensure SEC reporting compliance.
• Implement and monitor repeatable, controlled processes for capital markets transactions, including due diligence.
• Supervise process-oriented work of other legal professionals.
• Manage and coordinate outside counsel support and reviews.
