SSC Services for Education seeks a Construction Superintendent for Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. The role oversees on-site construction management, ensuring projects meet plans, specs, budgets, and client satisfaction.

Strong leadership and safety focus are essential to coordinate teams and cooperate with architects, engineers, and contractors. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 10+ years of experience, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Science, Architecture, or Engineering or equivalent combination of training and work experience in commercial construction.
• At least ten years of experience managing construction work or in design and planning of facilities including field observation and management of construction projects.
• Must possess a valid Class “C” driver’s license.
• Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with administrators, department heads, faculty, researchers, supervisors, employees, customers, representatives of governmental agencies, architects, engineers, contractors, vendors etc.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates construction projects as the Client's representative and manages pre-construction and construction activities.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety, accessibility, and environmental laws and codes; schedules inspections.
• Oversees that work aligns with contract documents, safety requirements, and budgets; coordinates building access.
• Manages contractors, professional services providers, and project customers from diverse backgrounds.
• Maintains clear, responsive communication to exceed client expectations and ensure project success.
