Job summary

Blood Cancer United is seeking a logistics and fundraising coordinator to manage on-site event operations, coordinate volunteers and vendors, and ensure data accuracy in CRM systems. You will work with education and health research teams to align campaigns with the mission and revenue goals.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least 4 years in related roles, with strong MS Office, data management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site manager for campaign fundraising events, supervising staff, vendors, and volunteers.

• Manage data entry for CRM and fundraising systems; generate reports for the fundraising team.
• Research and recommend event venues and locations in coordination with National Shared Services.

Blood Cancer United is a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization, relentlessly pursuing cancer cures. To help achieve this mission, this role is responsible for logistics, data management and coordination for Blood Cancer United designated market and peer‑to‑peer fundraising products to exceed revenue goals for Blood Cancer United mission, within a designated market area.

Core Responsibilities/ Primary Duties

• Mission Integration
  • Partner with Education, Services and Health Research department to effectively communicate the Blood Cancer United overall mission, programs, resources, and priorities.
• Event Logistics
  • Act as an on‑site manager during the campaign fundraising event, overseeing activities, staff, vendors, and volunteers to ensure satisfaction of participants, and resolutions of problems.
  • Oversee logistics, timelines, and other operational elements for assigned fundraising campaigns.
  • Provide input into the development of a strategic plan for the peer‑to‑peer fundraising products, including revenue, budget, goals, and timelines.
  • Responsible for managing expense budgets as related to logistics.
  • Research and recommend event venues and location sites based on campaign standards and in coordination with National Shared Services, Logistics Team.
• Volunteer Development
  • Responsible for assigned peer‑to‑peer fundraising teams to achieve overall revenue goals.
  • Works in conjunction with Volunteer Coordinator and collaborate with local relationship team and national shared service partners throughout Blood Cancer United.
• Data Management
  • Manage data entry to ensure CRM and fundraising systems are accurate. Update systems in a timely manner. Provides reports to fundraising relationship team as needed.
  • Connect with vendors to secure the best rate or in‑kind donation of services as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 4+ years’ experience in a related role

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Incumbents are expected to have a strong understanding of fundraising processes and operational procedures gained through extensive work experience.
• Works under limited supervision, demonstrating the ability to manage events and project work, and may be responsible for fundraising activities.
• Work often requires investigation and analysis to understand. This role may provide direction and training to lower-level colleagues.
• Successfully demonstrate the following:

  • Use of digital and social media

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to supervise and lead a group of volunteers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines effectively

• May be required to move Campaign materials weighing up to 15 pounds for various events.
• Travel within designated area.
• Required to work some evenings or weekends.
