Job summary

Blood Cancer United is seeking a logistics and data management professional to support our designated market and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives. You will oversee event logistics, coordinate volunteers, and ensure accurate CRM data for reporting and campaign success.

The role involves on-site event management, budgeting, and cross-team collaboration to advance our mission of helping patients with blood cancer live longer, healthier lives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years’ experience in a related role.
• Experience with logistics or fundraising operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics, data management, and coordination for Blood Cancer United designated market and peer-to-peer fundraising products.
• Act as on-site manager during fundraising events, overseeing staff, vendors, and volunteers to ensure participant satisfaction and problem resolution.
• Develop a strategic plan for peer-to-peer fundraising products, including revenue, budget, goals, and timelines.
• Manage expense budgets and research venues in coordination with National Shared Services and Logistics Team.
• Develop volunteers and collaborate with Volunteer Coordinator and local/national teams.
• Maintain CRM data accuracy and provide reports to fundraising relationship team.

Summary

Blood Cancer United is a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization, relentlessly pursuing cancer cures. To help achieve this mission, this role is responsible for logistics, data management and coordination for Blood Cancer United designated market and peer-to-peer fundraising products to exceed revenue goals for Blood Cancer United mission, within a designated market area.

Core Responsibilities/ Primary Duties

• Mission Integration
  • Partner with Education, Services and Health Research department to effectively communicate the Blood Cancer United overall mission, programs, resources, and priorities.
• Event Logistics
  • Act as an on-site manager during the campaign fundraising event, overseeing activities, staff, vendors, and volunteers to ensure satisfaction of participants, and resolutions of problems.
  • Oversee logistics, timelines, and other operational elements for assigned fundraising campaigns.
  • Provide input into the development of a strategic plan for the peer-to-peer fundraising products, including revenue, budget, goals, and timelines.
  • Responsible for managing expense budgets as related to logistics.
  • Research and recommend event venues and location sites based on campaign standards and in coordination with National Shared Services, Logistics Team.
• Volunteer Development
  • Responsible for assigned peer-to-peer fundraising teams to achieve overall revenue goals.
  • Works in conjunction with Volunteer Coordinator and collaborate with local relationship team and national shared service partners throughout Blood Cancer United.
• Data Management
  • Manage data entry to ensure CRM and fundraising systems are accurate. Update systems in a timely manner. Provides reports to fundraising relationship team as needed.
  • Connect with vendors to secure the best rate or in-kind donation of services as needed.

• Incumbents are expected to provide general business support including data entry, processing letters for campaigns, customizing webpages, coordinating logistics for events, scheduling committee and board meetings, and other general business process support.
• Works under close supervision and the work is typically routine or follows standard procedures.
• Successfully demonstrates the following:

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to supervise and lead a group of volunteers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines effectively
